Crisis Management: Plan Ahead, Don’t Hide Your Head

Posted by Gene Carozza on Aug 27, 2013 10:07:29 AM

I spent part of last weekend shopping around for new tires for my car, when I saw a huge advertisement for Firestone – buy three, get one free. Sounds like a deal, right? Perhaps, but I quickly passed on the opportunity, largely because I have no trust for Firestone’s products after the fiasco that occurred about 13 years ago.

I get asked a lot about what I do, and how exactly I go about doing it. The longer I spend in the PR profession the more I realize how misunderstood it can be (less from clients but more from my friends and family). I find this ironic, since the general public is often our key target audience!
