As I watch the Republican Presidential Primaries unfold, I can’t help but look at the campaigns from the perspective of a PR manager. As much as we want our next President to be elected based on their ability to do the job, you can’t ignore that messaging, positioning, and talking points—all part of the PR world—are critical factors in determining the next President of the United States.

As Donald Trump pulled his “Is he or isn’t he” presidential express into New Hampshire again this week. We are reminded of how President Obama bowed to The Donald and his “birther” followers and officially released his birth certificate from Hawaii recently. Prior to his Osama "victory lap," the President appeared on Oprah to discuss the issue and voice his displeasure with all the naysayers and media buzz that went along with it.
