I’m not going to lie. As a PR person reading about the ongoing saga around Michael Arrington, TechCrunch and AOL, I felt some degree of satisfaction that Arrington had hit a bump in the road. Let’s face it- if you’re a Tech PR person, Arrington makes your life difficult. Especially when so many of your clients view the blog as the holy grail of media coverage. You do your best trying to figure out a way to make your client appealing to Arrignton and his staff, only to be met by apparent annoyance (at best) but more likely distaste for what you do and sometimes public scorn for your professional efforts. But that’s part of the job. I try to take the higher ground and move on.
