A Break From the Vortex

Every year I give myself a “Spring Break” to recharge.

Recharging in the sunny Virgin Islands this year took on extra significance and I was very happy to escape the Polar Vortex, at least temporarily. It also gave me time to think about the importance of R&R in this day of 24/7, 365 connection.

I recently had the opportunity to live out some simple, yet powerful wisdom my friend and colleague Katelyn posted here on prSPEAK about a year ago: every PR person needs a good vacation. For a solid week and a half I was lucky enough to enjoy my vacation time to not only unplug from work and recharge, but to travel.
